Vinyl

Flexible, practical, hardwearing

If you’re looking for a flexible, practical, hardwearing floor covering for high traffic, utility rooms, or commercial installations, vinyl certainly has the right attributes. Over the years it has proved to be one of the most popular and logical choices for kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and laundries. And it’s very economical if you have a tight budget. Technology has allowed vinyl to become quite fashionable thanks to the huge range of patterns and colours now available. Designs range from slate look to timber and plain patterns – whatever your project, you’re certain to find something in the huge Flooring First selection of leading brands.
Vinyl is probably the easiest of all flooring types to care for and is warmer than ceramic tiles to walk on. A sweep, vacuum or wash with a damp mop will keep any vinyl looking like new. Vinyl is produced in 2, 3 or 4 metre widths, and our installers can professionally install or if you’re a good handyman, you can do it yourself onto a timber or a concrete slab floor. You should aim for the fewest number of seams or joins and ensure preparation takes into account any moisture problems that may exist in your home. In older homes, floors may need repairs.
